Guardian
This is one of our favorites this year. Guardian It is a poetic game, almost silent like nature, and very improbable. You play as a lighthouse that discovers legs to move, a friendly seabird perched on its roof, a light to direct it to the top of a mountain and bring life back to the fauna and flora that surrounds it. A pleasant walk through a universe that is reminiscent of the surrealism of Dalí and many others. We crossed the place with as much questioning about this improbable and sterile history as we did admiration for the beauty of the landscapes.
Tomorrow’s tides
The Game France space gives pride of place to French talents and promising games. Obviously we will discover a space dedicated to Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33but also ambitious titles like Tomorrow’s tides from the Digixart studio, crowned French game of the year 2023 at Pégases by Highway 96. The studio returns with a narrative adventure that takes place on the ocean planet Elynd, victim of a great flood and threatened with “plasticization” by a toxic derivative that threatens all living beings. You are a “Tidewalker”, a member of a nomadic marine community, who has become amnesiac in a ruined world.
You will have to explore islands and towns, face factions or cooperate with them in order to find a cure. The specificity of this game is to offer a first-person title, but with a narrative and exploration orientation that focuses on multiplayer mode. Your choices are influenced by those of others who can change your world and you, theirs.
