Microoled, the French provider of OLED microscreens, unveiled this Thursday, December 1 at Tech&Co the commercialization, starting Monday, December 5, of the ENGO 2, its new generation of augmented reality glasses for athletes.
Power, heart rate, pace, cadence: whether running, cycling or even triathlon, the frame is capable, thanks to a head-up display technology, of presenting athletes with their performance data in real time directly on their pitch Of vision.
towards new uses
For good reason, despite the built-in optical engine and goggle branches, the ENGO 2 weighs only 36 grams. In fact, compared to the previous version, “we have gained a few more grams”, emphasizes Éric Marcellin-Dibon. Above all, with this model “we have a more aesthetic system based on a simple mask instead of having two independent glasses”. A technical advance that has allowed Microoled to offer the ENGO 2 in a new version, this time for the industrial sector.
A growing community of developers that, according to the CEO of Microoled, allows shaping new uses for the ENGO 2. Particularly in the logistics and science sector, where its head-up display can have multiple applications.
