Technology can work miracles, and it proves it again. Deciphering the often illegible handwriting of doctors or healthcare professionals is almost a feat. Letters that more often look like lines and numbers that are closer to abstract art.
But Google may well solve this problem. It will not invite doctors to write better but users to understand them well. Thanks to its Google Lens tool, which already allows you to recognize objects or translate product labels, the American company wants to simplify the understanding of recipes.
Collaboration with pharmacists
In order to translate and decipher this unique language, Google will rely on pharmacists. The user will then only have to take a photo of his prescription and Google Lens will take care of giving him the name of the prescribed medication as well as its dose.
So far, Google has only introduced this technology to a limited audience, during its annual Google For India conference, an event reserved for the South Asian market. The American company has not indicated whether it intends to develop this technology outside of Asia. She did not give an official release date.
