From January 1, 2023, under the Agec law, the fast food sector must use reusable containers and tableware for consumption on site. Objective: reduce the production of waste while fast food consumes 220,000 tons of disposable packaging every year in France.
In this context, Hub One, digital technology operator for companies and public bodies, has developed Hub One GreenTrack, a solution that allows restaurants to ensure the traceability of their cutlery and packaging. The goal is to help them fight against theft and loss of dishes. Damage to hospitality brands estimated at 3,000 euros per month according to a study carried out by Hub One. The technology developed by this company should make it possible to track, record and manage reusable tableware stocks.
Limit redemption costs
Restaurateurs can thus know the status of their stock, but also geolocate the dishes and their packaging that is also attached to an order. A solution that offers the possibility of configuring the reuse but also the deposit. For restaurateurs, the advantages are several: a limitation of repurchase costs, a simplification of inventories and a reduction in the loss of crockery.
Hub One thus provides companies with the equipment and software to be able to pair readers with RFID tags. To obtain connected containers, two solutions coexist.
It costs 200 euros, for a one-month subscription, to purchase the system and software.
