Fraudulent SMS have become almost daily for the French. From “unpaid” Netflix subscriptions to the “non-regulatory” Crit’Air label, all topics are good for trying to extract money or personal data from victims.
For several months now, a parking ticket scam has been multiplying. The principle is essentially the same as for other scams of this type: an SMS that alerts about a “late payment” to pay a parking ticket, taking into account “Info ANTAI” to give credibility to the process.
Again, the link looks like an official link like “suivi-dossier-antai.com” or “dossier-antai-gouv.info”. Obviously, it is not the ANTAI site to regulate its verbalizations, this being a subdomain of the public service, “amendes.gouv.fr”.
ANTAI had already warned last summer of a resurgence of these false SMS inviting not to click on the links in question that end up stealing money or confidential data.
A reflection actually to adopt for all suspicious SMS, which multiply at the beginning of the year.
