At CES 2023, Elon Musk’s anti-trafficking tunnel quickly found itself bottled up

CES attendees weren’t sold on Elon Musk’s subway cars, who didn’t keep his initial promises.

A tunnel that changes colors and Tesla cars. During CES 2023, Elon Musk’s company, The Boring Company, took the opportunity to demonstrate the Loop, these tunnels that promise to avoid traffic jams, here to go to various places in Las Vegas, but the participants were disappointed with the system.

Underground traffic jam and drivers in cars. The demos of the Loop project, launched by Elon Musk, are far from his initial promises. The original idea was to offer tunnels to avoid traffic jams in driverless cars.

At CES 2023, several participants tested the system made available to them. Results, technically the system achieves its goal of allowing customers to reach their destination more efficiently, but criticism was not long in coming.

The Boring Company harshly criticized

The effectiveness of the project was challenged by a number of pre-existing solutions. Worse yet, the system proved to be less efficient than public transportation due to the large number of employees required at each station and the limited number of passengers that could fit in each vehicle.

To this we must add even the underground traffic jams, which was, however, the best argument of the tunnels.

The Loop project is developed by The Boring Company, an Elon Musk company that has experienced many setbacks in recent months. The Boring Company hung up its underground transportation project on local elected officials, but the cities were quickly disillusioned and ended the projects. The company did not respect budgets or environmental obligations.
