After the Ray sound bar that goes to the essentials and even minimizes the connectors to fit in a more limited price, Sonos completes the installation of those who dream of a Home cinema by launching the Sub Mini. Behind this name hides an ultra-compact subwoofer (30.5 cm high by 23 cm in diameter) and lighter (6.35 kg) than its predecessor, the Sonos Sub (40.2 x 38.9 cm by 16 kg). ). And for good reason: it also has smaller ambitions and is intended above all for small and medium-sized rooms.
Its mini appearance also argues in its favor to be as inconspicuous as possible near a piece of furniture. The “hole” inside is both a nod to the boxier old Sonos Sub, and a physical way to better circulate air to maximize bass.

The Sonos Sub Mini is a wireless subwoofer that will work with the rest of the brand’s devices to enhance an audio installation and make it as immersive as possible: One, One SL or Symfonisk speakers designed with IKEA; Beam, Ray and powerful Sonos Arc soundbars with 3D sound. It can also work with any speaker connected by the Sonos Amp module. Just connect it via Wifi and add it to the installed Sonos system by pressing the button on the side. A 5GHz Ethernet connection to a sound bar is also possible for better synchronization with the TV.
Once connected, the Sub Mini can be multi-roomed (listening to the same song or sound from speakers located in different rooms) or paired with devices. In the latter case, the sound will automatically adjust to the sound level of the sound bar or speaker. It is also possible to go through the Sonos companion app to make volume adjustments, but also to optimize the sound to the acoustics of the room thanks to the Trueplay calibration function that will take into account the architecture, nooks and crannies of the places to perfect listening (only on iOS).

To do this, the Sonos Sub Mini has two woofers facing each other for a force cancellation effect that neutralizes sound distortion.
