In a world where remote work is becoming more important, having a scanner can come in handy. For good reason, it’s not uncommon to have to convert physical documents into digital files to share with colleagues.
Good news for iPhone owners: there is an alternative to the scanner, and it’s on your mobile phone. In fact, thanks to the functionality built into the native Notes app, Apple-branded devices can easily scan, save, and share files. These are the steps to follow.
- Open a new note and click the camera icon.
- Choose “Document Scanner” from the menu that appears
- Position your document within the viewing angle of the camera. After framing, press the shutter button to start the scan
- Select the “Keep Scan” button to save it
