Bad surprise for new fans of Bing: Microsoft already wants to take advantage of its version of ChatGPT integrated into the search engine. According to Reuters, there has even already been a meeting between the American giant and an important communication agency, during which Microsoft presented a demonstration of this new Bing.
An even more “humanized” version that could eventually attract more users and therefore more advertisers. The ads would thus be located in the contours of the search engine, or even in the conversation, depending on the topic dealt with by the chatbot. At the moment in the test phase, this development of the tool is available only to a few users.

Beyond traditional ad inserts, Bing and its chatbot could, above all, allow businesses to pay to appear in certain responses. A user might, for example, ask “Which are the best hotels in Paris?” and to be offered names of hotels that would have paid to be recommended.
These scattered ads in the conversation could allow companies to no longer be relegated to the bottom of the page, below the conversation window, one of the fears of companies after the announcements from Microsoft, but also from Google.
This strategy could also be reinforced after the integration of ChatGPT with your other software such as Powerpoint or Word. However, for now, Microsoft has not provided a date after which it will be possible for brands to buy ads on the chatbot.
