Distance will soon cease to be synonymous with the absence of physical contact. In fact, a rather special object has been patented by the Professional Institute of Technology in Changzhou, China. The principle is simple: the device connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth and, thanks to a mobile app and silicone lips, you can kiss your partner. This idea came straight from the mind of Jiang Zhongli, an engineer in a long-distance relationship with his girlfriend.
The object is equipped with pressure sensors that reproduce the movement, temperature and pressure of the kiss performed on the other side of the thread. Couples can thus kiss from a distance, while listening to the mouth noises that the couple makes.
A function similar to Tinder
If the object is mainly aimed at couples, the mobile application offers a “discovery” space, where it is possible to exchange kisses with strangers. The feature takes the approach of Tinder, where the two netizens must “match up” and then ask if they want to kiss.
Users can also make their kiss available in the app for others to try. Sold for forty dollars, however, the object is not in its first version. A similar device, the Kissinger, had also been put up for sale, but its design lacked realistic lips.
On Weibo, China’s Twitter, many netizens were offended by this technology called “vulgar” and “scary.” Many people are particularly concerned about the open sale of the object to all ages and therefore to minors.
