If you don’t know ChatGPT yet, you will know it quickly. The conversational chatbot developed by OpenAI will soon be found in thousands of apps of all kinds as the startup announces the arrival of an API, that is, a programming interface.
In a nutshell, this allows developers to easily embed ChatGPT into their own applications for a fee ($0.002 for approximately 750 words). The model used will be that of ChatPGT, that is, GPT-3.5 Turbo.
Earlier this week, Snapchat announced that it had integrated the famous chatbot as a “virtual friend” for paid users.
This announcement promises to be invaded by ChatGPT, which will bring new features to many services (customer response for example) but also a great source of income for OpenAI which already offers a premium version of ChatGPT at $20 per month.
OpenAI is also releasing an API for its Whisper tool, a speech recognition model for easily switching from speech to text.
