As International Women’s Day approaches on March 8, Disney+ honors women this month. The platform exclusively offers a documentary series of events in 4 episodes mpowerin order to pay tribute to Marvel women.
A selection of films, series and documentaries, already available, also covers the stories of women who have moved the lines. In this “Heroines” collection, we find Jane Goodall in the movie. Written and directed by Matt Ruskin, this thriller pays tribute to the pioneering journalists who helped track down notorious serial killer Albert DeSalvo, the perpetrator of 13 sordid crimes in Boston between 1962 and 1964. The film stars Keira Knightley as reporter Loretta McLaughlin. she, who along with her colleague Jean Cole (Carrie Coon) tries to establish a link between the murders of several women, committed in her house for almost a year.
Bono & The Edge: A Kind of Homecoming With Dave Letterman
Directed by Morgan Neville, this documentary follows American comedian David Letterman during his first stay in Dublin, in the company of Bono and The Edge, where he attended an exceptional U2 concert. The feature film opens on Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17, the date on which U2’s new album, ‘Songs of Surrender’, is also released. This latest installment includes new versions of 40 of the band’s iconic songs.
