Like the “photobombs,” a US Federal Reserve governor was “eyebombed” on Thursday. According to Reuters, the videoconference that brought together both Christopher Waller, a member of the Fed’s Board of Governors, and about 200 other people, had to be canceled in the first minutes, after the appearance of pornographic images on the screens.
Within minutes of the start of the meeting, a certain “Dan” began spreading pornographic images. The microphones had not been muted by the organizer, which probably explains why famous Dan’s screen was able to be shown (Zoom shows those who speak or make noise in priority).
“Zoombombing”
The meeting was quickly called off and an investigation was launched to find out what had happened. Still according to Reuters, Brent Tjarks suspects a Zoom malfunction or human error in precisely automatically muting the microphones.
In addition to Christopher Waller, the videoconference brought together a hundred representatives of the main US banks.
Obviously, this “visual bomb” is not the first, especially since the explosion of online meetings linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. “Zoombombing” quickly became a plague, especially since Zoom was often singled out for his lack of security.
