It was already possible to reserve an Uber vehicle up to 30 days in advance with the Reserve Uber option. The company extends this term to 90 days. The option is also very successful in France, as the country has the highest rate of booked travel upstream to airports in Europe.
Another novelty, already available, “a walking guide” in airports to find your driver more easily when leaving the plane. Therefore, travelers receive precise directions between baggage claim and the pickup location. Once the race is confirmed, the route is indicated in stages. Landmarks are given and are accompanied by photos. For example, “take elevator C”, “proceed to concourse 1” or “exit terminal 3”.
Estimated walking time
The function is available in more than 30 airports around the world, including Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle and in case a French traveler is in the airports of Rome, Madrid, New York, San Francisco, São Paulo or even Mexico City.
The long corridors of airports often seem endless. Therefore, the app also estimates a walking time. Give the necessary time to get to the baggage claim area and thus order the trip at the right time. This feature is available at 400 airports.
