On Twitter, several Internet users say they have received fake emails from Ile-de-France Mobilités informing them that their subscription has been suspended and asking them to update their payment information, as noted by the Numerama site.

“We noticed that your subscription has been suspended due to a payment issue,” read one of the emails sent. “To continue to benefit from our services, we ask that you pay for your subscription with a credit card,” says another.

“Over the last few days, several of our Navigo subscribers have received an email with the subject line ‘Navigo – Subscription Suspended’, asking them to adjust their payment. This email is a scam (also called phishing or identity fraud on the Internet), to extract money illegally”, warns IDF Mobilités on its site.

Phishing “consists of the fraudster posing as an organization that is familiar to him (bank, tax administration, social security box, etc.), using its logo and name,” the Cnil specifies on its site.

Never click links in a suspicious email

The Ile-de-France public transport administrator reminds you to “never click on links in a suspicious email asking for money or your personal information” and to “always log in to your account via the official website or the application”.
