Getting rich by snapping your fingers is not possible, but doing it through ChatGPT seems more likely than it seems. An American designer experienced this and was successful through various requests to create a profitable and valuable website. Notable Fact: Jackson Greathouse Fall decided to allocate ChatGPT just $100 to start their entrepreneurial journey.
The designer also clarified to the artificial intelligence that no illegal action was authorized to achieve this goal. The new version of ChatGPT, GPT-4, proposed then to create a commercial site linked to ecology and especially on a “niche but lucrative subject, with little competition”. First step in this quest for wealth: buy a “cheap but cool” domain name to start the site.
Design, articles, logo: all turnkey
The choice will be “GreenGadgetGuru.com” (the site actually exists). ChatGPT had initially proposed another domain name but had not taken budget into account: the chatbot suggested a name that was certainly available, but at $848. Once the domain name was retrieved, Jackson asked ChatGPT to write him a “message” to get the best logo on Dall-E (another software from the OpenAI group for generating images).
After having settled the aesthetic part (design of the site, logo, slogan…), ChatGPT saw its budget reduced to 64 dollars. The site was then updated to make it more attractive. To do this, GPT-4 has written an article “The 10 essential ecological appliances for a responsible kitchen” (with real and not invented objects), and Dall-E an illustration to accompany it.
Valuation at $25,000
And in order to finally generate revenue, artificial intelligence suggested that it was time to invest in advertising. $40 was allocated to ads on Facebook and Instagram targeting people interested in ecology. Many tweets were also made to promote the site.
Result after a day of hard work from ChatGPT: an investor had already made an offer of $100 to take 25% of the company. After several days of activity and broadcasts on social media, the GreenGadgetGuru site had generated $1,378 in revenue. Another investor even joined in by offering $500 for 2% of the company, a $25,000 valuation for the company.
At this time, Jackson has not made any further updates. It is difficult to predict how far artificial intelligence can go in developing this pseudo-enterprise. However, some details will still be needed to build a veritable empire for next to nothing, starting with making the website work, whose buttons are not yet operational.
