Whether it’s to make Stories or directly on your profile, Instagram’s default settings don’t allow you to post optimal quality videos if you’re not connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Because, like WhatsApp, Facebook’s social network compresses them so that users can quickly share their content, even if their network connection is poor. However, there is an easy way to circumvent this inconvenience.
Publish videos in high quality: how to do it
- From the home screen of the application, access your Instagram profile by clicking on the icon at the bottom right
- Click the three dashes icon at the top right
- Go to the “Settings” menu
- Go to the “Account” tab
- Click on “Mobile data usage”
- Enable the option “Import at best resolution”
