For its part, the European Data Protection Council (EDPB), which is in charge of coordinating the authorities equivalent to the Cnil of the different EU member countries, announced the creation of its “working group”, in particular to promote the exchange of information about any action that can be taken towards ChatGPT.
After the Italian decision, OpenAI told AFP “to worry about data protection” and guaranteed to respect the regulations in force in the European Union.
