To limit these scams, Meta has indicated that it wants to implement tools to better protect Internet users. One of them is effective May 3: a step-by-step guide to help businesses with a Facebook account track down and remove malware from their systems.
In addition, Meta noted that once ChatGPT mimicking malware operators are detected, they quickly rebound to other similar software. However, the company was unable to publish figures on the number of people who fell victim to these scams.
