This Friday morning, Internet users are unable to visit the Senate website. The address that is supposed to return to the site indicates a lack of availability and even a site where the “connection is not private”.
The pro-Russian hacking group NoName claimed responsibility for the attack in a post.
At the end of March, the headquarters of the National Assembly suffered a similar attack. Sure Telegram instant messaginga group of pro-Russian hackers claimed responsibility for the attack.
The visual transmission was very similar to that used for the attack on the Senate. There was a bear (one of the symbols of Russia), and a reference to the 504 error indicating the inability to reach the servers of a website.
Similarly, the cyberattack on the Senate looks like a denial of service attack (known as DDoS). These attacks, often unsophisticated and mostly symbolic, consist of saturating a site with virtual connections, in order to saturate its servers and make it inaccessible.
