The noose is tightening on Dylan Thiry. The Paris prosecutor’s office said on May 11 that it had opened an investigation into the management of a humanitarian association whose influencer, who became known on reality shows, is the president. These investigations, entrusted this week to the Brigade for the repression of astute crime (BRDA), follow in particular a complaint for aggravated breach of trust.
This was presented in January by the vice president and treasurer of this association called “For our children”, which is presented as a “media” that has “the objective of informing and alarming about the critical situations of children around the world”. , followed by more than 199,000 followers on Instagram.
The latter accuses Dylan Thiry, 28, of having embezzled several hundred thousand euros in humanitarian donations for his personal benefit.
Two controversial pots
His complaint specifically cites two online fundraisers. In February 2022, a kitten bound for Madagascar closed at more than 158,000 euros. In October 2022, another harvest of more than 95,600 euros. According to the complainant, Mr. Thiry would have pressed for financial transactions to be carried out with his personal RIB and would not have provided any proof of expenditure.
The vice president, Sandra D., “acted as a true whistleblower in a gangrenous sector of influence” and now suffers “intimidation”, accused by Dylan Thiry of having betrayed her, her lawyer Tom Michel said in a press release. In addition, two deputies announced on April 26 that they had denounced “a situation similar to child trafficking” to the Paris prosecutor’s office.
These suspicions have arisen in particular from videos posted by rapper Booba, who has embarked on a crusade against influencers he calls “influvoleurs”, and who also accuses Dylan Thiry of pimping. Booba broadcast a montage where we hear the voice of Dylan Thiry and where we see him with children.
“Of course, everything is wrong”
“In these voice notes, Mr. Thiry indicates that he wants a third person to ‘adopt’ a child by means of a manifestly illegal act and in exchange for financial consideration”, reports Stéphane Vojetta, Renaissance deputy for French residents abroad, and Arthur Delaporte, deputy of the PS for Calvados.
According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, the Central Office for the Repression of Violence against Persons (OCRVP) was intervened to verify the procedural framework of these reports.
“I am going to disconnect from social networks (…) at the particular request of my mother, who lives very poorly with everything that is said about me,” he continued, assuring that he wants, with the pots in particular, “Helping the most poor”.
