The latest installment of the Zelda license, released on May 12, has even become a “pousse-au-crime”, at least for two Japanese who, impatient, decided to get hold of the original game. One of them, a 21-year-old Japanese man, was hired by an anonymous subcontractor for the e-commerce giant a few weeks before the game was released.

He reportedly stopped reporting to his post just a few days before the game’s launch: “We received the products in the warehouse three days before their official sale,” the game’s subcontractor said. Bunshun.

The profit bait

His mother, questioned by the boss when he no longer showed up the day before departure, replied that he was playing. Tears of the Kingdom. Obviously, the game was not yet available for sale.

For once, another employee is behind a rather similar story. A 24-year-old Japanese man, hired as a delivery man at the company shortly before the game’s release, also helped himself at the warehouse.

However, it was not to play, but to resell exclusive accessories or goodies, some particularly rare, related to the game, with the aim of amassing a small fortune. He was also fired from his job and reimbursed for the stolen items.
