The Meta Quest 3 will be “40% thinner than its predecessor and more comfortable,” he says. These are the “first general public headphones with high-resolution colors,” explains the company’s press release published on June 1.
It will also have better performance thanks to its next-generation Snapdragon chip, which should deliver twice the power of the one built into Meta Quest 2, better optical performance, and a better ability to understand its surroundings.
At the moment, a 128 GB version has been announced, but it will only be during the Meta Connect conference that this third version of the headset will actually be revealed, on September 27.
Meta Quest 3 should be released in the fall of 2023, for a starting price of 569 euros. The price of Meta Quest 2 should also drop from the beginning of June.
