‘I may have been a bit naive’: Fraud Crackdown target influencers explain themselves

Several influencers are now required to display a DGCCRF message on their social media due to their business practices.

A little bit of denial and a lot of mea culpa. Influencers fixed by the Repression of Fraud (DGCCRF) in recent days have explained to their subscribers the reason for the messages that appear on their accounts. Simon Castaldi, Capucine Anav, Illan Castronovo… There are six who have been forced to exhibit the protection of the DGCCRF.

“I was condemned one and only because I forgot the ‘sponsored’ hashtag on some of my product placements in the past because I wasn’t paying attention,” Simon Castaldi acknowledges in an Instagram Story.

“I am really very happy that things are moving, that the State is realizing the excesses of social networks”, even assures the son of Benjamín Castaldi before concluding: “Perhaps I was a bit naive”.

“Lack of seriousness”

The same speech was given by Illan Castronovo, who also recognizes “a lack of seriousness” in the indication of companies for others that he has sometimes forgotten: “I made these three mistakes, which I recognize and which I assume”, he affirms – he indicates again that found “very good” supervision of community practices.

For his part, Capucine Anav assures “sorry for these errors” in an Instagram story, however, he emphasizes to his subscribers that “these are not errors that impacted them.”

“J’ai balancé, comme ça, naturellement que ça aspire toutes les mauvaises ondes. Et c’est complètement faux puisque (…) si ça aspirait toutes les mauvaises ondes, on ne pourrait carrément plus passer d’appels” explain-t- she.

“There will be others”

“It’s nice that it’s framed, but it’s a bit confusing to be shown publicly,” explains Léa Monchicourt, aka @leadorables, pictured with her husband Gaetan Debled.

“We made a mistake, perhaps unconsciously. But it hurts to be shown publicly like this, crossed out for not having indicated their commercial alliances.

Finally, Anthony Matéo, the last influencer targeted by the DGCCRF, had deprived his Instagram account this Friday.
