“I’ve been working on this project for a year.” David Baerten, aka Mad Ragnar, had set it all up, except for the outcry he caused. This Belgian influencer staged his own death and led people to believe in his death for four days. Only his wife and his children knew of the deception.
The (bad) joke even went so far as to post a video of Mad Ragnar’s daughter asking for her father to return, he says the voice of the north. Once the emotion was aroused, a funeral was organized this Sunday, June 11, Father’s Day in Belgium. It was at this moment that the influencer came to life by landing in a helicopter in the middle of the ceremony.
a social experience
By pretending to be dead, Ragnar the Mad was “not quite” looking for the buzz. His real goal was to show his loved ones that it is important to enjoy people while they are alive. The experience seems to have worked as he now claims to be “invited everywhere in [sa] family”.
Ragnar the Mad thinks he has succeeded. If only half of his family went to his (fake) funeral, many absent are now reuniting with him. As for the reason for this diabolical plan, the influencer simply said that she felt lonely away from her family.
