War in Ukraine: Volodymyr Zelensky thanks “brave” soldiers on Father’s Day

The Ukrainian president took advantage of Father’s Day to pay tribute to his troops and thank them, since counter-offensive actions were launched in his last days.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed this Sunday, Father’s Day in Ukraine as in France, his thanks to all the “strong and brave” soldiers fighting against the Russian invasion, hoping that one day they can all return from forehead.

“Thank you to every Ukrainian father, every Ukrainian family for their strong and brave soldiers who defended the independence of Ukraine and fought for the life of Ukraine!” Volodymyr Zelensky said on social media.

He posted a video made by United24, a fundraising platform he created, showing Ukrainian soldiers coming home and hugging the children.

“That every parent on the front line can come home”

“I hope your parents have a long and healthy life. And that all the parents who are on the front line can come home,” added Volodymyr Zelensky.

Russia launched an invasion of neighboring Ukraine on February 24, 2022. According to Western estimates, the number of dead and wounded is around 150,000 on both sides.
