Two drones were shot down in a town in the Moscow region, near warehouses of one of the military units deployed in the area, said the governor of the Russian province, Andrei Vorobyov.
The city is about 59 kilometers west of the Russian capital and about 500 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
According to Vorobyov, fragments of the drone were found, which did not cause damage or casualties.
“Special services are conducting an inspection, the territory is now cordoned off. I ask people to remain calm,” Vorobyov added.
The official Russian news agency TASS had indicated that three drones had been shot down on the outskirts of Moscow, citing police authorities.
The incidents, which caused no damage or casualties, took place in the Naro-Fominsk district.
