A man was arrested early Wednesday after stabbing two people at London’s Central Middlesex Hospital.
Authorities were called to the scene around 1:20 p.m., where they found two injured, one of whom is in serious condition.
The British police say that this is not a terrorist act, but are still investigating the circumstances of this incident.
According to some British media, the victims are employees of the hospital ward, but this is not officially confirmed information.
“A man has been arrested outside the hospital” and is being treated in hospital for injuries he allegedly inflicted on himself. London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
“The hospital was temporarily closed, but has now reopened and services will operate normally. The police presence on the scene has been strengthened while the investigation is carried out,” the London authorities said.
