The governor of Russia’s Lipetsk province said the Wagner paramilitary group had entered the region, 340 kilometers from Moscow.
Columns of the Wagner paramilitary group, which has launched an armed rebellion against Russian military leadership, are already in the Lipetsk region, local authorities said.
“The (war) team of the Wagner group is advancing on the territory of the Lipetsk region,” local governor Igor Artamonov said on the Telegram channel.
According to the politician, the local authorities “are taking all the necessary measures to guarantee the safety of the population.”
