The head of the Wagner paramilitary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, agreed on Saturday to suspend the rebellion movements in Russia against the military command, after negotiating with the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.
“Yevgeny Prigozhin accepted the proposal […] stop the movements of armed men from the Wagner group and take measures to reduce tensions,” said the unofficial channel of the Belarusian Presidency on the Telegram messaging service.
“They agreed that it was inadmissible to provoke a bloody massacre on Russian territory,” the same statement read.
The information, however, was confirmed by Wagner, through the same social network, in a message signed by Prigozhin.
