The Wagner Group headquarters in Russia says it is operating normally

The headquarters of the Wagner group in the Russian city of St. Petersburg announced Monday that it was operating “normally” after the failed uprising launched by its leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, this weekend.

“Despite the events, the center continues to function normally, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation,” the group’s headquarters said in a statement, at a time of uncertainty over the organization’s future.

Sources from the paramilitary group reported that it continues to recruit in different regions.

The posters depicting the Wagner group were re-hung in the organization’s building in Novosibirsk, a Siberian city, according to the TASS agency.

The terms of the agreement between Prigozhin and Moscow, announced on Saturday night, to end the armed uprising of the Wagner group remain unknown.

The Kremlin has said fighters from the paramilitary organization who followed Prigozhin in the uprising would not face criminal charges, but no one knows what the group’s future really is.

The Russian presidency also said the group’s leader would remain in exile in Belarus, but Prigozhin has not appeared in public since the uprising ended.
