Francis called on people to take an interest “in what is happening” in the world.

“Let us help those who suffer and pray, because prayer is the force that protects and sustains the world,” he said.

During the prayer, the head of the Catholic Church also invited the faithful to reflect on how many conflicts can be resolved “by listening to others, with the sincere desire to understand ourselves.”
