Seven people were injured, three seriously, this Tuesday after several civilians were run over in Tel Aviv in what is believed to be a Palestinian response to the Israeli army’s major operation in Jenin, in the West Bank, that left 10 dead this Monday.
“It is the resistance’s first response” to the Israeli operation in Jenin, in the West Bank, Islamic Jihad leader Khaled al-Batsh declared.
The spokesman for the Islamist group Hamas, Muhammad Hamadeh, speaks of a “heroic” attack in Tel Aviv. It is about “a natural response to the ongoing carnage of our people and a legitimate self-defense against the violation of all human norms by occupation [israelita]he said, quoted by the BBC.
“The inhabitant [israelita] must be prepared to count their dead and wounded, for our children’s blood is not cheap,” Muhammad Hamadeh warned.
The Israeli police confirmed that “a car attacked several civilians” in northern Tel Aviv and eventually “neutralized the aggressor”.
