At least six people were killed and two injured in an explosion last Friday at an explosives factory in the Samara region of central Russia, emergency services quoted by Russian news agencies said.
“An explosion occurred in Chapayevsk at the Promsintez plant. Six people died, two were injured,” a representative of the emergency services told state news agency TASS.

Report of a spaventosa explosion of all Promsintez of Samara, a fabbrica di esplosivi. If you speak già di 6 operai morti and an imprecise number of feriti.
Ecco cosa succeeds when spingi al massimo i vecchi dinosauri sovietici e li obblighi a operare a continuum cycle

The explosion occurred “as a result of dismantling the equipment during repair work”, according to the emergency services.
The Promsintez factory produces explosives for the mining industry and employs 1,300 people.
According to the company’s page on the Russian social network VK, the Promsintez plant is one of the “leading producers of explosives in Russia” and the former USSR.
It is said that “factory production is used […] for prospecting for oil and gas reserves and for mining”.
The company that owns the factory was founded in 1997, but the factory dates back to pre-revolutionary Russia, founded by the country’s last Tsar, Nicholas II, in 1911.
Accidents in factories in Russia – including fatalities – are relatively common, with an often lax approach to safety rules.
Last month, four people were killed in an explosion at a weapons factory in the Tambov region, southwest of Moscow.
Since the start of the offensive in Ukraine, which has been running since February 24, 2022, many factories in Russia have been running at full capacity.
