Around 1,350 migrants arrived on the Italian island of Lampedusa in the last 24 hours, with the reception center housing more than 2,000 people after continuous landings in recent days.

According to the Italian press, during the night the Coast Guard located seven precarious boats with about 350 people who disembarked in Lampedusa.

In the last barges rescued during the last night, the authorities assure that between 45 and 70 people of Syrian, Moroccan, Tunisian, Senegalese origin disembarked, as well as citizens of the Ivory Coast and Liberia.

Some groups denounced that they left from Sfax, in Tunisia, and another boat with 70 people on board, including nine women and 11 minors, set sail from Kerkennah, also in Tunisia.

The reception center on the Italian island is full again.
