Russia’s Security Council Vice President Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday that “the ‘Third World War’ is getting closer,” referring to the increase in military aid from NATO countries to Ukraine.
“The delusional West couldn’t think of anything else. It was predictable, almost insane. Actually, it’s a dead end. The ‘Third World War’ is getting closer,” wrote Medvedev, former president of Russia between 2008 and 2012.
The former head of state added in the text distributed via the digital messaging system Telegram that the NATO summit in Vilnius has increased military aid to Ukraine “with everything possible: missiles, cluster bombs and aircraft”.
“What does this mean for us? Clearly: the special military operation [na Ucrânia] will continue with the same objectives,” said Medvedev, referring to one of the goals of the operation is to destroy the “Nazi group in Kiev [Governo] resign as part of NATO”.
“It is necessary to liquidate this group. It must be possible. It is necessary”. concludes the former Russian president.
