A bad taste joke. In Italy, two young people without means of transportation simulated discomfort on Sunday to be taken by ambulance to their destination, the Italian carabinieri announced this Friday. The farce was filmed and broadcast on the TikTok social network, achieving more than 50,000 views in one day.
In the video’s caption, the comment “when you’re in the middle of the countryside and there’s no public transportation” leaves little doubt about the nature of his deception.
Especially since from the first seconds, one of the protagonists boldly launches: “We are lost in the middle of the field, and now we are solving the problem.”
Thus, they contact the emergency services, to whom they affirm that one of them fainted due to heat stroke, while they laughed at the situation.
The two young people prosecuted for “false alarm”
All the incidents of his imposture are filmed, from the call for help to his trip by ambulance to the seaside town of Riccione in Emilia-Romagna.
Their journey ends in the emergency room, from which of course they leave after a few minutes, according to the ANSA press agency.
The two young men, aged 19 and 20, were identified thanks to their video by the Riccione gendarmes. Following the complaint filed by the Emilia-Romagna health agency, they are prosecuted for “interruption of public service” and “false alarm”.
One of the protagonists admitted his mistake to the local newspaper the rest of the pug“I’m a jerk, I shouldn’t have done that.”
