Russia attacked Odessa with cruise missiles on Tuesday, causing damage to the city’s port infrastructure, a Ukrainian official said.
“Odessa was attacked with six Kalibr missiles coming from the Black Sea,” said the representative of the Ukrainian military administration in the region, Sergei Bratchuk, explaining that all missiles had been shot down by Ukraine’s anti-aircraft defenses.
Brachuk noted that “debris from the downed missiles and explosions” from the intercepts “damaged objects of port infrastructure and several homes” in Odessa, one of three Ukrainian ports that are part of the grain deal Moscow suspended on Monday.
In one of those homes, a man was injured, he added.
