Portuguese shot dead in Colombia near Bogota Exhibition Center

A Portuguese man died in Colombia on Wednesday evening after being shot near the Bogotá Exhibition Center by two men on a motorcycle, several Colombian media reported.

The incident took place at 10:30 PM on Wednesday (4:30 AM on Thursday in Lisbon), next to the Bogotá Exhibition Center, where Agroexpo takes place.

According to Colombian media, two gunmen on a motorcycle killed two foreigners, a Portuguese and a Venezuelan.

The gunmen used a silencer to give them more time to flee the crime scene and a woman who accompanied the victims provided information about their identities, El Tiempo reported.

The management of the convention center (Corferias) today regretted all the deaths and denounced the violence that took place near the fence on Wednesday.

“Since the occurrence of the facts, Corferias has been in permanent contact with the competent authorities to provide all necessary cooperation and follow-up. Corferias expresses its solidarity with the families of the affected people,” the statement of the ‘media’ emphasizes Colombians.
