Ukrainian attack on Crimea caused the “explosion of an ammunition depot”

A strike by a Ukrainian drone this Saturday caused the explosion of an ammunition depot in Crimea, according to the Moscow-mandated governor, who ordered the evacuation of the population within a five-kilometer radius and halted rail traffic.

“After an attack by enemy drones, there was an explosion in an ammunition depot,” Sergei Aksionov told Telegram.

In the message, the governor of the peninsula annexed by Moscow in 2014 adds: “It has been decided to evacuate people living within a radius of five kilometers. To minimize the risks, it has also been decided to stop rail traffic.”

Russian authorities on Saturday temporarily halted traffic on the bridge over the Kerch Strait, which connects the annexed Crimean peninsula to mainland Russia, fearing further Ukrainian attacks.

“The circulation of cars on the Crimean bridge has been temporarily suspended,” said the official channel of the Telegram network, instructing drivers and passengers who are on the bridge or in the control zone to keep calm and obey the instructions of the security forces.
