Together for Catalonia, this Thursday, initially reached an agreement with the PSOE that will allow the Congress Board to be launched, led by the Spanish left.
The general secretary of Together for Catalonia, Jordi Turull, quoted by the Spanish newspaper El País, says that the negotiations continue.
The newspaper also indicates that the agreement has to do with the use of Catalan in the courts and with an investigation into the espionage of the independentistas. Negotiations continue on another point, which remains blocked.
Canary Coalition continues to analyze the proposals that are on the table.
The constitution of the Table of Congress in Spain is the first challenge of the new deputies elected on July 23 and a test of the possibilities of forming a new Government.
The PSOE pointed out this week a candidate for president of Congress, that of deputy Francina Armengol, who to be elected will have to get the support of the same parties with which the Socialists and Somar are negotiating the parliamentary device.
The Socialists have said, since the election, that the option is for “discreet” negotiations with other parties, with few details so far on the talks.
The PP won the elections, but without achieving an absolute majority with the far-right VOX, with whom it governs in coalition in four autonomous communities.
The absolute majority is 176 deputies and PP and VOX elect 170 together.
The second most voted party was the Socialist Party (PSOE).
The PSOE and the far-left Somar platform, which have assumed that they want to govern in coalition, have 152 seats in parliament.
