Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted military cooperation in the defense area on Saturday among the topics of the meeting in Stockholm with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson on his official visit to Sweden.
“We have a wide agenda of issues to deal with, but cooperation in the field of defense is one of the priorities, including the precious CV-90,” the Ukrainian president wrote on his account on the X social network (formerly Twitter), in reference to Swedish-made armored vehicles and his meeting with Kristersson, and a meeting with the Swedish king, Carl Gustaf, is also scheduled.

We have a broad agenda, but defense cooperation is one of the top priorities. Including the powerful Swedish CV-90s.
Our warriors are already putting them to good use on the battlefield. We also intend to produce them in Ukraine.

Zelensky had announced his arrival in Stockholm a few hours earlier on social networks, on a trip that had not been previously announced.
“Our main task is to strengthen our air and ground defenses, develop bilateral cooperation and the security of the Euro-Atlantic space,” the Ukrainian president said in his first message about a trip accompanied by his wife, Olena.
The center-right government of Ulf Kristersson announced this week a new aid package for Ukraine worth 3.4 billion crowns (287 million euros). The military aid includes ammunition and spare parts for the 90 and 122 main battle tanks and the Archer artillery system, which were already delivered to kyiv a few months ago.
Since the start of the Russian invasion, Sweden has delivered 12 military aid packages to Ukraine, totaling approximately 17 billion Swedish crowns (1.437 million euros) to date, including several Leopard tanks.
Sweden, which has yet to complete its NATO membership process pending formal ratification by Turkey, this week raised its terror threat level to the second-highest: 4 on a scale of five.
The Kirstersson government’s decision was prompted by a number of factors, including protests from the Islamic world over successive public burnings of the Koran, the latest of which took place outside the Iranian embassy on Friday and again by Iraqi refugee Salwan Momika. .
