This was the eighth ship recorded during the day on Saturday, with a total of 124 migrants of North African and sub-Saharan origin arriving on the south coast of Majorca, the island of Cabrera and Pitiusas.

The first boat was in Cabrera around 05:25 local time with 20 people on board, two hours later another rescue operation was carried out nearby with 17 people.

The sixth boat was found in Ibiza, where the Guardia Civil and local police proceeded to rescue 11 people of North African descent around 1 p.m.

A seventh boat with seven migrants, two of them minors, was on the island of Formentera. The officers intercepted five people at kilometer 8 of the La Mola road around 12:15 p.m. after receiving a report from a neighbor.

A few hours later, around 3:32 p.m., they found two more people in the port of Formentera. Apparently they were all from the same boat that was adrift.
