Two people have been killed in a Russian missile strike in Kiev, civil and military authorities in the Ukrainian capital said Wednesday.
“Unfortunately, according to initial information, two people died due to falling debris in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kiev (…). Another person was injured,” said the head of the local military administration, Sergei Popko, on the Telegram messaging platform.
“In a non-residential building (…) two men were found dead,” Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote. on the same platform, adding that two people were injured and hospitalized.

Military officials stressed that today Kiev suffered the biggest attack “since spring”.
“Night air raid. Kiev has not seen such a strong attack since the spring. The enemy launched a massive attack (…), using drones and missiles,” said Sergei Popko, noting that “in total more than twenty enemy targets were destroyed” by the Ukrainian air defense.
Civil and military authorities had previously reported that debris had fallen in Shevchenkivskyi and Darnytskyi districts, sparking fires.
The largest attack on Russian territory: damaged IL-76 aircraft in Pskov, as well as a microelectronics factory in Bryansk, which makes components for “Iskander” missiles.
