Moscow doesn’t know what it has annexed and Kiev is making progress

Russia on Friday announced the annexation of four Ukrainian regions (in an action that was condemned and not recognized by the international community), but with each passing day, it has lost more control in these areas in the face of Ukraine’s progress and in in fact it doesn’t’ I feel good.. kinda attached. “We will continue to consult with people living in these areas,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, referring specifically to the Kherson and Zaporijia regions. But he gave no details.

The Donetsk and Lugansk regions, whose self-declared independence was recognized by Russian President Vladimir Putin days before the invasion, were completely annexed. But the Kremlin had already said last week that the borders of Kherson and Zaporijia needed to be “clarified”. According to the American Institute for the Study of War, Moscow controls only 88% of the former and 72% of the latter. Yesterday, Ukrainian troops marched “tens of miles” along the western bank of the Dnipro River, retaking several locations in the Kherson region.

Despite this uncertainty, the Russian parliament voted unanimously in favor of legislation annexing the four territories. “We don’t respond to imaginary threats, we defend our borders, our motherland and our people”, the head of Russian diplomacy, Sergei Lavrov, told deputies. He further claimed that “the US subjugated almost the entire West and mobilized it to make Kiev an instrument of war against Russia”.

Kadyrov sends children

As the problems with the military deployment in Russia continue – a recruiter in Khabarovk was suspended after falsely calling thousands of people who did not meet the requirements – the Chechen leader said he would send his teenage sons to the front.

Ramzan Kadyrov, Putin’s ally, explained that “it is time for them to prove themselves in a real fight”, saying that he welcomes the wish expressed by Akhmat (16 years old), Eli (15) and Adam (14), who revealed that they have been trained to fight from childhood. Share a video of the three shootings on Telegram missiles and machine guns, said: “Soon they will go to the front line and they will be in the most difficult sections of the line of contact.”

Thomas tank

a campaign by crowdfunding (crowdfunding) Raised 33 million CZK (about 1.4 million euros) to buy a modernized T-72 Avenger tank for delivery to Ukraine. A total of 11,288 people donated money to buy the “Tomás” tank through the campaign “a gift for Putin”supported by the Czech Ministry of Defense and the Ukrainian Embassy in Prague.

“Czech Republic has become the first country where ordinary citizens have bought a tank for Ukrainian troops,” Yevhen Perebyinis, No. 2 of Ukrainian diplomacy, wrote on Twitter. A second campaign is already underway, with the aim of raising money to buy “ammunition for Tomás and his friends”.
