The unemployment rate in the euro zone was, in July, 6.4% and in the European Union (EU) 5.9%, according to data published this Thursday by Eurostat.
According to the European statistical service, the unemployment rate slowed down compared to July 2022 in both areas (6.7% in the euro countries and 6.1% in the 27 Member States as a whole), remaining stable compared on chain.
Eurostat calculates that in July there were 12,928 million unemployed in the EU, of which 10,944 million in the euro area.
