The community of Madrid and Toledo are on red alert this Sunday due to the possibility of torrential rains. According to the Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET), quoted by the newspaper El Mundo, the accumulation of 60 liters of water per hour is expected, or more than 10 liters in just ten minutes.
The red notice begins at 12:00 p.m. this Sunday and lasts until midnight on Monday.
The authorities ask for “a lot of caution” and to avoid “unnecessary displacements”, since “accumulated rainfall can exceed 120 liters per square meter in 12 hours.”

Spanish meteorologists fear that the amount of rain expected to fall in the Community of Madrid this Sunday “will have catastrophic consequences” and will be higher than expected for a year.
It is hard for me to express the perplexity with which I observe how Arome, start after start, insists that the amount of rain that could fall tomorrow in the Community of Madrid has catastrophic consequences.
