Cristiano Ronaldo’s hotel in Marrakech opened its doors to welcome those left homeless by the strong earthquake that hit Morocco on Friday night.
According to the Al-Arabyia news website, the luxury hotel Pestana CR7 Marrakech has decided to waive entry rules and is offering accommodation to those in need.
The hotel is located in the most modern area of the city of Marrakech and was not affected by the earthquake.
For the second night in a row, many people slept outdoors for fear of new earthquakes.
Following the earthquake, at least 2,012 people were killed and 2,059 injured, of which 1,404 were seriously injured.
Moroccan seismological authorities said the earthquake had a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of eight kilometers.
