An Air China plane made an emergency landing in Singapore this Sunday after a fire in the plane’s left engine.
Flight CA403 took off from Chengdu and was heading to Singapore. The incident occurred shortly before their arrival. The plane ended up landing safely on runway 3 of Changi Airport, around 4:15 p.m. local time (8:15 a.m. in Lisbon), with no injuries reported.
“All passengers and crew were evacuated safely,” Changi Airport said in a statement, cited by the AFP agency.
The fire in the left engine has already been extinguished. Even so, runway 3 at Singapore airport was temporarily closed.
