The Minister of the Interior said on Monday that Portuguese who are in Morocco and need support should contact the Portuguese Embassy in Rabat (Morocco).
“It is important that you contact the Portuguese Embassy in Rabat and that you also contact the emergency consular office of the General Directorate of Consular Affairs and Portuguese Communities”Minister José Luís Carneiro said today.
Speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Academia Lanterninha, in Matosinhos (Porto), the Minister of the Interior said that the information he had from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is that all Portuguese who need support from the Portuguese authorities will receive this support.

The earthquake, whose epicenter was recorded in the town of Ighil, 63 kilometers southwest of the city of Marrakech, was felt in Portugal and Spain and reached a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale, according to the National Institute of Geophysics of Marrakech. .
